On motorways and motorway-like roads with white-green signs, a vignette is compulsory for motor vehicles up to 3.5 t gross vehicle weight (GVW). A separate vignette is also required for trailers and caravans up to 3.5 t GVW. Trailers pulled by motorbikes are exempt from the vignette requirement. Motorhomes up to 3.5t GVW and motorbikes are also subject to the vignette obligation. No vignette is required for vehicles with a GVW of more than 3.5 t (including motorhomes and trailers). Instead, the toll fee must be paid via the heavy vehicle fee.
